Coronation of a King!

Friday May 12, 2023

Friday May 12, 2023

Many of us are familiar with the account of Jesus so-called "triumphal entry" into Jerusalem. One of the few stories told by all four gospels. But was it the simple, humble donkey ride into the city that it is often portrayed to be. Or was it specifically designed to be much more: a pre-arranged, coronation ceremony orchestrated by Jesus to portray Himself as the promised king of Israel in fulfillment of both royal and prophetic tradition? Please remember to give us a like, and leave your comments, better yet why not follow us.

Is Bible Revision Wrong

Friday Apr 28, 2023

Friday Apr 28, 2023

Over the course of time words can and frequently do change meaning. These changes are proof that language itself is always changing from one generation to the next. These differences often time produce a communication gap between different generations. We can say the same thing regarding our English language Bible. As the English language changes the meaning of the words in our Scriptures is changed. This begs the question, “Is Bible Revision wrong?”

1 Corinthians 15:3-5 records our basic thesis statement for today’s Differing Things Podcast. It records the most important event of all human history, the resurrection of Jesus Christ! That is right. The greatest event in all history is the resurrection of Jesus Christ, for this event is the culmination of God's work of salvation for all humanity!

What is wisdom? We cannot behave as wise people if we do not know what wisdom is. The apostle Paul tells us that we can be addressed as somebody who is wise. "Walk," he says, "not as fools but as wise; because you are wise, act as wise people." He tells us how this wisdom which is in us reveals itself; or we could say, we see the results to which this wisdom leads. It means that we have vision and can see the result of our actions. The Bible fundamentally says that the man who is not a child of God and who is not a Believer is ultimately a fool. "The fool has said in his heart that there is no God." The Christian life is the only sane life, according to the inspired written word of God. Today’s Differing Things looks at how the West is becoming the ultimate fool! Make sure to give us a like, and leave your comments!

It is critical that we recognize the great scope and tremendous emphasis the subject of resurrection has in the Word of God. It is from the beginning to the end of the divine revelation of Scripture. Since the fall, all things which are of God have their new beginning and vital value in and by the representative and inclusive resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

In the east, the donkey or ass has always played a much more important part amongus Westerners, and on that account we find it so frequently mentioned in the Bible. The question arises why did Jesus enter Jerusalem riding on an ass on Palm Sunday?

It was at Babylon where people sought to “make a name for themselves” by building a tower that reached to the heavens, the realm of the gods with a small g. Deuteronomy 32:8-9 describes how Yahewh’s dispersal of the nations at Babel resulted in His disinheriting those nations as His people. This is the Old Testament equivalent of Romans 1:18-25, a familiar passage wherein God gave humankind over to their persistent rebellion. The implications of this decision and this passage are crucial to understanding much of what is in the Old Testament, and Israel’s calling.

Differing Things

The BIBLE IS God's love letter written to us. The Bible tells us who we are, how we were made, how we were lost, and how we were purchased back When we spend time reading and thinking about the things which are written in the Bible, we change. The Bible is living. Consequently, we believe the Bible contains the answer to all of our societal ills, and a literal interpretation of it will resolve denominational divisions. At Differing Things we seek to expose errors in both religion and society and give the Biblical answers!
